Junior Peranakan Printing for Schools | Approx. 2.5 hours

Creativity meets culture in a workshop designed for junior printers! Upper primary and high school students can enjoy a unique printing experience geared towards building confidence and encouraging individuality. Students can also learn more about Peranakan culture while designing and creating a Singapore inspired artwork. Workshops are conducted on school grounds in a space suitable for art workshops.

A collection of pre-carved rubber blocks inspired by Peranakan tiles is available for students to use alongside a colourful range of inks. Upper primary school are shown how to plan out their designs based on patterns and colours. Students above 14 years may also like to try carving their own block to create unique rubber stamps for printing.

A separate presentation on Peranakan culture before or after the workshop can also be arranged.

Recent clients include Ai Tong School, Waseda Shibuya Senior High School in Singapore and My First Skool.
